Wordpress Plugin Help

The Planet eStream Wordpress Plugin provides a quick and easy way of adding Planet eStream content to your Wordpress blog. The Plugin can be used to add the following types of Planet eStream content; Recordings, Quizzes, Documents, Chapters, Playlists, and Photosets.

Additionally, Video/Audio/Documents can be added to your Planet eStream archive from within Wordpress and directly embedded into the Wordpress page.

Adding Planet eStream Content to Wordpress

  • While editing a Wordpress blog post, click the Planet eStream icon within the text editor toolbar.
  • A Planet eStream search box will be displayed. Enter your search terms, or click the magnifying glass to return a list of all available content. You can also apply various filters by clicking the 'Show Filters' button.
  • Next to each item are buttons for selecting chapters from that video, previewing the video, and if any quizzes are available for that item, selecting a quiz to add.
  • To embed the Planet eStream item into Wordpress, first click the Preview button, or click the name of the item, then click the Selected Item button, as shown below.
  • Please note: you should save any previous changes to your blog post before adding Planet eStream content. A warning message will remind you of this when you click the Select Item button.

Uploading New Video/Audio Content Directly into Wordpress

  • With the Planet eStream search window open, select Upload to begin uploading a file to Planet eStream.
  • Select Choose File and then select the file you wish to upload. Depending on your Planet eStream permissions, you may be allowed to upload video, audio and document (document, PDF etc.) files.
  • You will now be presented with a list of upload options. This includes things such as the title and description, categories to add to, custom dynamic fields, etc. Take your time to ensure everything is filled out correctly. Remember that to set your own title, you should untick the Use filename for title option.
  • Click Confirm when you're finished setting the upload options, and if everything has been entered correctly, the process should begin. You can also press Cancel to stop the file uploading.
