SharePoint 2013 Plugin Help

The Planet eStream Plugin for SharePoint 2013 provides a quick and easy way of adding Planet eStream content to your SharePoint environment.

The plugin can be used to add video files, audio files, Quizzes, Documents, Chapters, Playlists, or Photosets from your Planet eStream archive directly into SharePoint. The plugin can also be used to upload content to your Planet eStream archive from within the SharePoint environment.

Adding Planet eStream Content to SharePoint

  • Select the EDIT link within the SharePoint page where the Planet eStream item is to be added.
  • Click on the INSERT tab.
  • Click the Planet eStream Logo.
  • A dialogue will appear showing a Planet eStream search interface.
  • Enter your keywords to find the required item and click the search button. Your search results will be displayed.
  • To add the media player for any search result to your SharePoint page, click the name of the item. You can then choose to add just the item, or the item with information on who originally uploaded the item and on what date.
  • You can add chapters from that item by clicking the small arrow with a 'Play' button next to the item. If there are any Planet eStream Quizzes for that video, there will also be a "Q" button with the number of quizzes available.
  • The dialogue will close and the Planet eStream media player will be embedded in your SharePoint page.
  • The change the size of the media player, or the title of the item, click Edit Web Part from the options list adjacent to the media player, make the required changes and then click the OK button.
  • Lastly, click the SAVE option.

Uploading New Video/Audio Content

  • Click the EDIT link within the SharePoint page where the Planet eStream item is to be added.
  • Click on the INSERT tab.
  • Click the Planet eStream Logo.
  • A dialogue will appear showing a Planet eStream search interface.
  • Click the 'Upload' button in the upper-left corner. Choose a file to upload (Video, audio, or document) and fill out all necessary fields.
  • Click 'Confirm' to begin the upload process. Once this is finished, the item will be embedded into the Sharepoint page.

Deleting a Planet eStream item from a SharePoint page

  • Click the EDIT link within the SharePoint page that contains the Planet eStream item to be removed.
  • Click within the region containing the Planet eStream media player to be removed.
  • Select Delete from the options drop-down adjacent to the media player
  • Click the SAVE option to save the page with the item removed.
